relays.land

how it works

relays.land is a platform where you can deploy relays that curate content semi-automatically.

Each relay is owned by a set of people. These people have shares.

Whenever one of these people likes an event (kinds 1, 20, 21 and 30023) on the broader Nostr ecosystem they are casting a vote with all of their shares.

When the vote count reaches a threshold of 30% of total shares, that event gets published on the relay. The author of the selected event also gets 1 share in the relay.

Other people consume the content from this relay by browsing it directly and discovering new content they wouldn't have seen by themselves. They delegate to these relay owners the task of curating content on their behalf.

The key to success is (probably) to make a group of people that will naturally produce a cohesive feed from their interests and likings.
